Original numbers on the mail club world, free to cite.
Mail Club Hub is a hand-curated directory of the snail mail world: mail clubs, pen pal clubs, and letter-writing charities. Every listing is read and catalogued one at a time by K. Larkin, a former postal carrier who runs the directory.
If you are writing about snail mail, subscription boxes, the creator economy, or the analog revival, we keep original numbers that are hard to find anywhere else, because we gather them by hand.
Our research: The State of Mail Clubs
Twice a year we publish The State of Mail Clubs, a study of more than a thousand mail clubs: what they cost, how often they ship, what they send, where they run, and where they mail from. It is the data reporters and researchers cite when they need a real figure instead of a guess.
Numbers you can quote
All figures come from our own hand-run study, most recently refreshed July 2026. Please cite them as "Mail Club Hub, The State of Mail Clubs 2026."
- 1,000+ mail clubs studied for the 2026 report
- $10 / month the median mail club price
- 93% of mail clubs ship monthly
- $1 to $200 the monthly price range, a postcard club to a year of poems
- 498 mail clubs we counted on Etsy alone
What we do not report, on purpose: subscriber counts, revenue, or churn. We do not have that data and will not invent it.
How to cite us
Use of our numbers is free. We ask for a credit to Mail Club Hub and, where possible, a link to the report. If you would like the figure behind a specific claim, a custom cut of the data, or a quote from the curator, just ask.
About the curator
K. Larkin trained as a postal carrier, fell for the small clubs that keep real mail alive, and now reads every listing in the directory herself. She discloses which clubs in the directory are her own. More on the about page.
