The Bird House

The Bird House is a physical monthly snail mail subscription designed to connect you back to your inner child through letter writing and thoughtfully curated art. It’s time to bring a little intention, sentimentality, and presence back into our lives. Each month’s piece of mail will include a printed letter very candidly written by me (Madeline! Or Miss Bird Boy if we want to be formal;)), a carefully chosen print with a postcard design on the back, and a sticker. Postcard prints and stickers will build on each other to create a very beautiful collection as the months go on. They may be classically painted pieces I love, my photography work, art by local artists, poetry, etc. This is my take on an analog Substack, a practice of journaling and reflection, and a desperate need for connection with other women as we navigate through a world that seems to want to pull us further apart. I hope this group inspires you to connect with a friend, sing a song, take more photos of your life, & document document document.
