We Studied 1,000 Mail Clubs. The Median Charges $10 a Month.
Most of what gets said about mail clubs is a guess. We wanted the real numbers, so we studied more than a thousand of them, one at a time, and wrote down what each one costs and sends.

The market has settled on a price
The median mail club charges about $10 a month. Nine in ten stay under twenty dollars. And the price barely moves with what is inside: art prints, fiction, stickers, a history lesson, the median stays near ten dollars whatever the envelope holds.
Ten dollars, give or take a coffee. That is the going rate now, and now we can prove it.
Monthly, almost always
93% of clubs mail once a month. A few ship every two weeks, a handful quarterly. Almost nobody ships weekly, because real mail takes real hands.
A dollar club and a two-hundred-dollar club
The cheapest club we found charges a dollar. The dearest, A Year of Poems in the Mail, charges two hundred. Same medium, same mailbox, the whole ladder in between. A category with a price range that wide is a real market, not a craft-fair hobby.
And they are everywhere
We counted 498 mail clubs on Etsy alone, plus hundreds more on their own websites, on Patreon, on Ko-fi. No single platform owns this. The mail is the product; where you buy it is almost an afterthought.
Why we bothered
Every figure comes from a directory we keep by hand, plus a scan of the major places clubs sell. No survey panel, no scraped guesswork. We refresh the numbers twice a year, and we leave out what we cannot check: no subscriber counts, no revenue, no invented figures.
That is the whole point. Slower than scraping, and worth citing.
